Use a ventilated box or carrier lined with a soft, no-loop cloth. Do not keep reopening it to check.
Move the container indoors away from noise. Do not feed or give water unless a licensed caretaker instructs you.
Share the location, animal type, visible condition, pet contact, and a photo only if taking one is safe.
If there is active danger to people or pets, contact local animal control or emergency services. For direct wildlife contact, bites, scratches, or possible rabies exposure, contact your local health department and veterinarian as appropriate.
